This "Plaque" was presented to the late Keith Pritchard's father Gerry Pritchard. The plaque was a bit of "slap in the face" for the family... "Sorry... Here's a plaque for your son" Note the wording... "...whilst officiating in the inaugural event." ... it appears that even on this memorial plaque no one wanted to use the words "Cannonball Run" It's motoring history, and it's up for sale. Gerry Pritchard is raising enough funds to get the family to the memorial site on the Northern Territory Stuart Highway. 15 Years and he has never been to see it. His son is part of the reason it's there. Lets start the account here. What's your bid? |

This license plate is the very first plate to our knowledge that has come up for sale. The plate "Cannonball 179" was not on any of the cars that raced. When this photo was taken it was the first time this plate had come out of a box and seen the light of day in nearly 15 years. 11 days...
